Bolu Kukus Kopi Susu/ Coffee Milk Steamed Cake

One of the simple pleasure in life is sipping a cup of hot coffe; a cup of strong and freshly brewed coffee. Perhaps, sipping it over those afternoon talks. Talks that are unimportant enough, so you can sit and enjoy the coffee.

It is very unfortunate that I am not one of those coffee drinkers. a half cup of coffee is plenty enough to send me sleepless for the whole day. That is precisely why I have to look for ways to be able to keep enjoying these wonderful black beans.

This particular type of cake will definitely climb up the chart very quickly. It sends the wonderful smell of fresh coffee miles away, once you take it out of the steamer.

Ingredients (Lihat dibawah untuk Bahasa Indonesia)
8 eggs
250 gr sugar
1 tbs emulsifier
1/2 tsp salt

250 gr flour, sifted
50 gr powdered milk, sifted.

50 gr butter, melted.
50 ml milk

75 gr margarine, melted
2 tbs coffee
1 tbs mocca pasta

-Beat all the ingredients under “A” until fully incorporated. Put in both ingredients under “B” gradually. Mix until smooth. Divide it into two equal parts.
-Put in all of the ingredients under “C” for the first batter, and all of the ingredients under “D” for the latter. Mix each of the batter well. Set aside.
-Grease the pan and warm up the steamer.
-Put one vegetable spoon of the first batter(milk mixture), followed by another vegetable spoon of the second batter (coffee mixture). Keep doing this until no batter is left.
-Set the pan in the steamer. Let it cook for about 40 minutes.

Bahan (Scroll upwards for English)
8 telur
250 gr gula pasir
1 sdm emulsifier
1/2 sdt garam

250 gr tepung, diayak.
50 gr susu

50 gr mentega, cairkan
50 ml susu segar

75 gr margarine, cairkan
2 sdm kopi instan
1 sdm mocca pasta

-Kocok bahan A hingga mengembang. Masukkan bahan B sambil diayak. Aduk rata. Bagi menjadi dua bagian yang sama.
-Masukkan bahan C pada bagian pertama, dan bahan D pada bagian kedua. Masing-masing adonan diaduk rata. Sisihkan.
-Siapkan loyang, olesi mentega. Panaskan kukusan.
-Masukkan satu centong adonan putih, kemduian masukkan satu centong adonan kopi. Lakukan sampai adonan habis.
-Kukus kue selama 40 menit.

    i just an ordinary round pan..I forgot the diameter; I guess it is something like 20 cm wide :)
