Banana Crumb Muffins

I always love to bake muffins.
You do not need to take out your mixer.
No need to grease the pan; At the end, less crap to wash.

I think muffins are great.
easy peasy recipe that always turns out great (unless you did something really stupid).

I love muffins.
They make my small apartment smells like “home”




After finishing my last deadline, I had to release the stress. That means baking! The recipe is taken from It is supposed to be their most popular and highly ranked recipe.

The muffins turned out to be really good. They’re really scrumptious! Definitely a keeper.





I am submitting this for the baking and photography contest for KBB (Klub Berani Baking) current challenge. After I popped these muffins in the oven, I remembered that I haven’t taken any picture of the process.

Argggh! –It is one of the criteria to enter the contest–. So, I’m gonna have to bake another batch of these goodies.

No complaint whatsoever =D (update: pictures are done!)





serves: 8-10 muffins
Ingredients (Lihat kebawah untuk Bahasa Indonesia)
* 190 g all-purpose flour
* 5 g baking soda
* 5 g baking powder
* 3 g salt
* 3 bananas, mashed
* 150 g white sugar
* 1 egg, lightly beaten
* 75 g butter, melted
* 75 g packed brown sugar
* 15 g all-purpose flour
* 0.3 g ground cinnamon
* 15 g butter



1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease 10 muffin cups, or line with muffin papers.

2. In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat together bananas, sugar, egg and melted butter. Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture just until moistened. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.

3. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and cinnamon. Cut in 1 tablespoon butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Sprinkle topping over muffins.

4. Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of a muffin comes out clean.


190 gr tepung terigu
5 gr baking soda
5 gr baking powder
3 gr garam
3 buah pisang (jenis chiquita, cuma kalau pisang biasa kasih 4 atau 5 buah ya), hancurkan.
150 gr gula pasir
1 buah telur, kocok lepas
75 gr mentega, cairkan
74 gr gula palem
2 sdm tepung terigu
0.3 gr kayu manis bubuk
2 sdm mentega

1. Panaskan oven 190 derjat celsius. Olesi cetakan muffin dengan minyak atau taruh papercup.

2. Campurkan terigu, baking powder, baking soda, dagaram dalam sebuah mangkuk. Aduk rata.
Di mangkuk lainnya, aduk pisang, gula, telur, dan mentega cair. Aduk rata.
Campurkan isi mangkuk pisang ke mangkuk terigu. Aduk asal rata/secukupnya. Masukkan adonan ke cetakan (3/4 penuh ya).

3. Di mangkuk lainnya, campurkan gula palem, 2 sdm makan terigu, dan kayu manis bubuk. Aduk rata. Masukkan 1 sdm mentega. Aduk rata kembali. Taburi di atas muffin.

4. Panggang di oven selama 18-20 menit, atau hingga jika ditusuk dengan tusuk gigi, hasilnya bersih.




Strawberry Cheese Muffin

strawberrycheesemuffin_little.jpgEverything that bears the great name of “wilton” yields to tons of yumminess (Yes, I just invented this word ;-) ). This recipe creates soft, mouth-watering, and melt-in-your-mouth muffins. Err, I may exaggerate a lil bit. But, this recipe is definitely worth a try. Indri, my colleague, showed me this recipe and noted it as a highly recommended recipe. I guess, you have a pretty good idea of what topic that we mostly discuss in the office.

350 gr tepung terigu
25 gr susu bubuk
80 gr Margarin
50 gr Mentega
110 cc air
4 butir telur
200 gr gula pasir
1 sdm vanili
8 gr baking powder
strawberry jam (yang kasar lebih bagus), secukupnya
keju (secukupnya), potong dadu. Tinggalkan sedikit untuk diparut

Cara membuat:
1. Rebus mentega, air dan gula sambil mendidih dan gula larut
2, Masukkan tepung dan susu bubuk kedalam mixer, tuangkan perlahan bahan campuran mentega lalu dimixer dengan kecepatan sedang sampai hangat.
3. Masukkan vanilla
4. Masukkan telur satu persatu
5. Masukkan baking powder, kocok sampai cukup rata
6. Masukkan bahan tambahan (stroberi, dan keju, jangan terlalu dicampur rata)
7. Masukkan adonan kedalam piping bag, potong ujungnya
8. Semprotkan kedalam cetakan muffin sampai penuh
9. Oven dengan suhu 200 derajat selama lebih kurang 20 menit (10 menit terakhir berikan taburan keju)
